This process serves as a regular assessment and audit of the human resources of the organization.

The goals are to:

Determine what employee movement needs to occur
To focus on management and development efforts of key employees
To link the Human Resources Plan with the Strategic Business Plan
To identify training needs both on an individual and company wide basis
To promote an overall "bench strength" analysis (do we have the right mix of promotables and long term continuity managers?)
