PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT PROCESS

EDG Performance Management Process is a system designed to create on-going communication between employees and their managers.  This process combines "best practices" of:

goal setting

skills/competency development

giving and receiving feedback

performance accountability.

The result is a system by which appraising, regular planning, and coaching of employee performance is done continuously.  It avoids common pitfalls with a once a year administrative process.  It also introduces the concept of "joint ownership" clarifying the roles and responsibilities of each of the participants.

The emphasis of this program is providing employees with the information they need to improve their performance as well as develop themselves.  Since the manager is giving support, motivation and direction to the employee, the environment is set to reach high levels of growth for both the employee and company.

Training is provided so those participants become skilled and comfortable in giving and receiving feedback.  The system focuses on four dimensions:

  1. Goal Setting (Accountabilities)

  2. Ongoing Coaching and Feedback

  3. Preparation for the Year End Review

  4. Conducting the Year End Review
