 What is Executive Coaching?

The Executive Coaching process is intended as an intense, one-on-one, customized and personalized program designed to assist executives in enhancing their professional effectiveness and on-the job performance.

The purpose of this program is to provide individual development to executives in leadership positions or with high potential.  This process is intended for the valued employee who the organization believes can become more effective by addressing key areas of concern.

The executive receives comprehensive feedback from a multitude of sources, as well as specific and practical alternatives to deal with the issues that surface.  Through a series of positive, constructive, and candid discussions, the executive receives the information necessary to implement changes that lead to long-term career development.

The high potential manager being groomed or has just taken on greater responsibility.

A talented operations executive having difficulty moving to a staff role.

The aggressive, high performing manager whose staff feels intimidated.

 The Process:

Initial discussions with Human Resources, the participating executive, and his/her manager.

360-degree feedback from peers directs reports, and the individual's supervisor.   This can be accomplished through interviews, surveys or using existing data.   The executive receives feedback on a wide range of management and interpersonal skills.

Focused discussions and consulting with the individual regarding specific on the job activities and other methods to address development issues.

A comprehensive, written action plan is developed with specific goals.

Follow-up sessions with EDG staff on a regular basis for one year to ensure program success.
